The Decision Support Committee of the Metropolitan Philadelphia Chapter of HFMA is pleased to present the 16th Annual Decision Support and Healthcare Financial Technology Seminar to be held on Wednesday, March 21st at Crozer-Chester Medical Center. This seminar is structured to provide useful information to all levels of healthcare financial managers, from CFOs down to staff levels.

This year we’re pleased to have Mark Pauly, Ph.D., Professor of Health Care Management of the Wharton School, presenting the keynote address. Dr. Pauly is a nationally-known expert on health policy issues and will present an insightful talk on significant healthcare issues. Next, Gloria Kupferman will present on quality measures and their relationship to value-based third-party payment.  Jonathan Pearce will finish the morning sessions with a presentation on extracting competitive and operational information from the data that CMS will provide to bundled payment and ACO applicants.

The afternoon sessions are focused on providing useful “how to do it” information for healthcare financial staff members and their managers.

A Night of Networking and Bowling with HFMA

The Networking & Social Activities Committee of the Metropolitan Philadelphia Chapter of the HFMA would like you to invite you to join your fellow HFMA members for night of networking, bowling, and other fun on Thursday February 16, 2012 at North Bowl.

North Bowl is located at 909 North 2nd Street (right by 2nd and Poplar) in Northern Liberties. We have reserved the upstairs Loft at North Bowl from 6:00 – 9:00PM (we added an extra hour this year!) where you will be able to network with fellow industry professionals, and catch up with friends. Enjoy an open bar and hot and cold buffet, and best of all compete against your fellow HFMA members in bowling, billiards, and video games.

The HFMA is subsidizing this event, so the fee for each HFMA member is only $20.00, and includes valet parking!!!
