President's Message

The Program and Education Committee of the Metropolitan Philadelphia Chapter of the Healthcare
Financial Management Association is pleased to present the May 2009 Accounting and Auditing Update. This educational program will consist of several excellent and timely presentations related to recent accounting and auditing FASB Pronouncements, proper accounting response to equity market conditions, expanding the corporate focus on the 990 Tax Return in response to recent form revisions as well as discussions related to expanding corporate governance and the role of your internal audit department. All of this is packed into an explosive morning of education, followed by an afternoon of golf, refreshments, and networking opportunities.

The Program is scheduled for Thursday, May 21, 2009 in the main ballroom at Paxon Hollow Country Club, 850 Paxon Hollow Road, Media, PA. The program will qualify for three hours of “Accounting &
Auditing” C.P.E. credits.

Attendees are requested to dress casual for this event. Registration is scheduled from 8:15 - 9:00 am. Lunch is included for all attendees and will be served on the patio, overlooking the golf course. Golf will begin with a shotgun start at 1:00 p.m. followed by an open bar cocktail hour and prizes. We hope everyone takes the opportunity to get up to speed on the latest changes in accounting standards as well as enjoy an afternoon of golf on one of the areas nicest courses.
