The Richard B. Ellis, Jr. Scholarship is intended to benefit children of members of the Metropolitan Philadelphia Chapter of HFMA who are pursuing an undergraduate degree in either Accounting or Finance and have expressed an interest in the healthcare industry. The scholarship has been established in the memory of Richard B. Ellis, Jr., a Chapter member and leader in the Philadelphia-area healthcare industry who was a friend, mentor and colleague to many of us. Rich worked in public accounting before becoming a senior financial executive with one of our area’s largest health systems before his untimely death in 2008 at age 51.
