Have you noticed we’ve changed a few things in the Metro Philadelphia Chapter?

Metropolitan Philadelphia Chapter Fall Institute

The Fall Institute was new last year, and we’ve made an extra effort to improve this Education session even more.  Based on your feedback, we’ve invited nationally recognized speakers, we’re trying out a new location, and we’re offering discounts to make it more affordable for your organization.  We hope to see you on September 25th at the Conshohoken Marriott. 

The theme for the day is “Making Connections to Drive Success”. 

  • Listen to the perspective of a Health System COO.
  • Hear a Hospital CFO discuss the importance of relationships in transformation.
  • Learn the essentials for a successful Capital Financing process.
  • Find out how two different health systems have redesigned the Revenue Cycle.
  • Choose from twelve different topics for breakout sessions. 
  • Visit with peers during the Networking Hour at day’s end.

MetroLines

We hope you like the new format for our Chapter Newsletter.  The intent is to give you a more ‘interactive’ MetroLines, making it easier to read through the areas of most interest to you.  Our hope is to release these newsletters more frequently, so that up-to-date information will arrive to your desktop each month. Best of all, we’ll be storing the articles, so that you may easily refer back to them at any time.   Much thanks to the Communications Committee, who has pulled creativity together with commitment to get this done for our members. 

Collaborative Education with the New Jersey Chapter

Shortly, you will receive an invitation to a 3-day Seminar scheduled for October 15-17 in Atlantic City.  Our Board has worked with the New Jersey Chapter in planning this program, to ensure even more learning opportunities for our members. 

Social Events

We want to help you make connections to grow professionally.  Our Social Committee is busy planning, so that you may enjoy informal settings where you can meet others, and share experiences.  Join in the fun – starting with the Phillies game this week.  More to come! 

Metropolitan Philadelphia Chapter Spring Institute

It’s the ever-favorite Reimbursement Seminar – and more!  We’ve set the date for March 12, 2009.  It’s a one-day, local program, featuring national speakers, with topics to include Reimbursement (of course!), Revenue Cycle, Physician Practice Management, Compliance, and Non-Acute Care.  So mark your calendar, and contact any Board Member if you’d like to be involved in planning the Spring Institute. 
Yes, we’ve made some changes, all with you in mind.  One thing has certainly stayed the same: our Board’s commitment to Connect and Educate our members.  It is a pleasure to serve you, and I encourage you to share your ideas.  Feel free to contact me directly at eseeber@amh.org, or reach out to any Board Member or Committee Chair – we’d like to hear from you.
