McBee Associates, Inc. is one of the nation's largest, independent consulting firms for the health care industry.  The firm, is seeking a Coding Specialist to support our consulting activities in our Corporate Office, located in our Wayne, PA (Philadelphia Metro) office.

 

Position Overview:

 

The Coding Specialist will be responsible for quality assurance, training and product development related to current coding practices.  They will review client charts and medical records, ensuring that client coding is accurate and compliant, as well as identifying appropriate diagnosis (CPT-4/HCPCS) codes for revenue cycle initiatives.  The qualified candidate must have a working knowledge of current coding practices.

Qualifications •Candidates must have a minimum of 3-5 years coding experience.
•Must possess one or more of the following: CCS, RHIT, or an RHIA credential through AHIMA; or a CPC/CPC-H credential from the AAPC.
•Four year degree is desirable but not required.
•Strong analytical skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
•Must be capable of producing detailed, comprehensive documentation and reports.
•Travel to client sites is required as is occasional travel.
