| > About Us Regional/National Information HFMA is a 501(c)(6) Illinois corporation. Governed by HFMA's Constitution and By-Laws, elected National Officers and Directors manage HFMA affairs. Through the chapter and regional structure, all members have a role in providing input to HFMA's Board of Directors as they evaluate and determine HFMA's policies and direction. HFMA uses its collective voice to speak out on issues and works to strengthen cooperative relationships with other groups and associations.
National HFMA
HFMA has a number of standing committees including the Nominating Committee, the Audit and Finance Committee, the Executive Committee, and the Advisory Council. Other committees and task forces are designated, either by the Chairman or the Board, as the need arises. One of the concepts which has proven important in the consideration and policy direction is the Matrix. This system of councils and committees provides an effective communication process among all those involved in National leadership and serves as an advisory group to the Board. In addition to this network of voluntary leaders, National HFMA is served by over 70 staff employees who serve members and carry out the association's day-to-day activities. HFMA's corporate structure also includes the Healthcare Financial Management Educational Foundation (HFMEF). This 501(c)(3) Illinois corporation is a related organization through which grants and donations may be received. It provides educational programming and other services for the betterment of the profession. |
